DAY 5 // Wild & Free

Hello! Day 5 and I gotta say..I loved today. First off, we didn't have to work! It's our weekend now and that means we can frolic in the yard and wander into town and do what we please.

This morning around 10 am Cammie and I scouted out the three street town of Biloela, managing to find the "night club" and one bar along with a subway. We then took a stroll around the Biloela saturday markets. The markets were cute..maybe about 10 stalls max, lined with mostly little old ladies selling crocheted blankets and tea cozies, some selling hand made mugs with "I love grandma" and "I love cats" painted on them. I did however find a couple cheap and awesome finds amongst the granny nic-nacks so stay tuned for tomorrow's post.

After a Woolworth's shop for groceries and a chill afternoon of reading in the sun, we decided we'd get all "chicks" as Cammie likes to say (she's french Canadian FIY..love you cam)  and do a little photo-shoot! With me choosing the hippie styles and Cam opting for a sexy cowgirl look (denim on denim) we had so much fun playing around and getting weird looks from Ian and Reece who were hard at work on the farm.

We tag teamed the role of photographer and for rookies I was pretty pleased with the end results!  Its also hard to take terrible photos when you have such a beautiful backdrop, like glistening wheat fields and the sunset ..

Enjoy!
Until Tomorrow xo

  1. Found this link whilst searching #biloela on Instagram to see what other people get up to. Being a Pom and having lived here for 11 months I can appreciate there being nothing to do here, but this blog is pretty entertaining! Good to see you're making the most of your farm work! Keep up the good work!

    1. Hey Chris! Thanks for checking out my blog, so you're a Biloela resident as well eh? What do you do here? And good for you for making it 11 months! wow. So far the farm life is treating us well..we like the peacefulness of being out in the country after a month of crazy travel, we might feel differently in a couple months time tho... hah thanks for commenting :)

  2. Hey! Yeah I'm a mechanic on a 457. I'm sponsored by a company here so have to stay for a while tbh. It's alright, it's quiet and peaceful here but obviously that has its downsides as there's nothing to do! I ventured out to the 'nightlife' a few times and it wasn't the same without all my mates from back home! I'll keep watching to see what you guys make of the place!

  3. Ah cool! aha oh the nightlife.. yah maybe we'll hit the town this weekend. I'm curious to see what people do on the weekends in such a small town. Bottoms Nightclub? hah we've been on a "booze detox" but I'm sure after finishing this week on the farm (chipping weeds) we'll be ready for a couple of bevvies.
Keep in touch and thanks for following!

  4. Haha I've tried to go in twice, once it was shut on a Friday night... Another time it was after last admission (1pm). I've never tried since haha. Going out here is, errr, an experience!
