DAY 24 // Farmhouse Finds

Alright, another day, another dollaaa. Farm Update:

Today, the wheat was harvested! All day long these massive green tractors combed the acres and acres of wheat, cutting it all and spitting the access in a cloud of dust behind it. Really cool to watch.

After work we took a little trip into town because Camille had to do some banking. But of course we couldn't go home before first making a stop at the Reject Shop. (For those Canadians reading, this is the aussie dollar store.) This place is full of awesome stuff that we don't need..yet love to buy anyways because we need to stay amused some how in this town. Reject Shops excite us!

I laughed at Camille's bag as we were walking out of the store this time... here is what was in it.

{My favourite is the "BBQ & BEER- Drinking Songs" CD. Definitely busting that one out this weekend. Oh and on the bottom right, its hard to see but that is dental floss.}

For my creative bit I decided I'd post some photos I have taken of my favorite quirky farmhouse things. The farmhouse we live in is totally shabby chic..at least I think so. Its super old and drafty with spiders and insects on the walls, cobwebs in the corners and geckos in the bathroom..but it has a ton of character. It reminds me a bit of my Nana's house. When we were little we would go over there and eat cheese and crackers and sit in her breakfast nook. There were crocheted tea towels hanging on her cupboards, tea cozies, peeling floral wallpaper, lace curtains, nik-naks everywhere and the cutest little country kitchen. So I guess you could say living in this place.. is a little nostalgic.

Enjoy! :)
