We have graduated from chipping weeds and spent yesterday in the watermelon fields clearing vines from the tractor paths (easiest job ever..) and today we literally raked leaves..all day (solid arm workout)
AND It's official, it's Friday and we are leaving the farm freakishly early tomorrow morning and heading to the ocean!! I'm still a little in disbelief because this whole vacation idea was nowhere in my brain until 24 hours ago and now its real, we are out of here for almost 2 weeks..
I will be spending my time in Agnes Water while Camille will be hopping around a bit and heading down to Rainbow Beach to do a Fraser Island tour and maybe to Hervey Bay for a night or two. But first we'll spend a couple days together in Agnes hitting up a surf lesson and relaxing on the beach.
I'm excited for this time away but at the same time i've been trying to save money while on the farm to afford to enjoy myself over the holidays and with my family who is visiting in the new year. So for me this time off will consist of not much other than some surfing, reading, sketching, attempting to get rid of my hideous tan lines and taking lots of pictures. Agnes Water, 1770, is a very small beach town with a few hostels and maybe one "tavern" so I doubt I'll get myself in too much trouble.... :)
Depending on what kind of wifi I can get a hold of over the next two weeks, I probably won't be able to blog everyday while I'm away. I know..you all are probably crying right now.. its ok.
But, I won't go back on my goal of doing something creative everyday.. even if I don't post it, i'll do it. Plus, getting myself away from my laptop for a bit is probably a good idea. I feel like I've been living on here lately instead of actually LIVING.
Enough of my banter, here are some photos I took from the last couple days as well as a pic of my "Vacay Must-Haves" .
Cheers to being a beach bum!
See you soon xo
